VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE SET OF INTACT PAGES FROM A ROOSEVELT PRESENTATION ALBUM, WHICH IS COMPLETE FOR THE OFFICIAL STAMPS.

In 1903, during the Theodore Roosevelt administration, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing prepared 85 special presentation albums with Small Die Proofs on white wove paper of all issues printed to that date. The proofs were artfully arranged in albums, and most of the albums were given to government officials. Very few Roosevelt presentation albums remain intact. Most have been cannibalized for collectors demanding specific sets, and few remain on their original pages. (Image)
