10c Engraved, Dies A & B Scott (11-12)
Lot Sym. Lot Description
2228 P Image10c Deep Blue, Die B, Plate Proof on Thick Ribbed Paper (12P7). Mint N.H. block of four, beautiful deep shade and razor-sharp impression unlike those of any issued stamps, ample to large margins, guide dots at sides, very thick paper showing ribbed lines on back, also unlike any issued stamp

EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 10-CENT DIE B PLATE PROOF ON THICK RIBBED PAPER.

This item is listed in the 2012 C.S.A. Catalogue with the statement "status of this item has not been fully established." It is not known why this was produced but its attributes are clearly unlike any known issued stamps, therefore its status as a proof in both Scott and the C.S.A. Catalogue is logical.

With 2012 P.F. certificate. Scott Retail as singles (Image)
