Aug. 26, 1862" circular datestamp on small piece, Very Fine and choice, with 2006 C.S.A. certificate, this was sent only 13 days before the Chattanooga datestamp was taken from the city post office after evacuation and used as an army field office marking (Image)

10c Rose (5). Malformed "S" in "Cents" variety, full margins, tied by manuscript cancel with matching "Proctors Creek Aug. 7th" postmark on U.S. 3c Red Nesbitt entire to Mt. Mourne N.C., 10c stamp affixed over indicia which is clearly visible, minor edgewear, Very Fine, a wonderful combination of this plate variety used on a U.S. 3c entire (which served only as an envelope) from the well-known B.F.
