Ample to large margins except just touched at top right corner, cancelled by red grid, matching "Worcester Ms. Oct. 5" circular datestamp on folded printed circular for Van Buren and Adams Free Soil Party to Chadwick Mass., headlined "[Confidential Circular]" and datelined Sep. 15, 1848, stating that they have an approved ticket and men pledged in support of Van Buren and Adams, file fold well clear of stamp, edgewear and some slight overall soiling, still Very Fine and extremely rare use of the 5c 1847 used on a printed campaign circular (Image)

Nov. 16" oval datestamp with fleurons, manuscript "10" for forwarding postage due, vertical file fold affects right stamp and horizontal file fold affects both, still Very Fine, unusual use, on November 7, 1848, Taylor was elected President and Fillmore Vice President, this letter congratulates Fillmore "on your election and its auspicious promise to the country" and then lobbies for the appointment of a new commissioner at the U.S. Patent Office (Image)
