570 /o   Egypt, 1869, 20pa green, plating study, a truly remarkable keenly assembled study of hundreds of stamps assembled on 35 album leaves, with emphasis on positioning within the sheet types, constant and non-constant plate flaws, etc. What is quite extraordinary are the sheer number of mint multiples including 8 pairs, 6 strips of 3, 3 strips of 4, 2 strips of 5, 1 strip of 6, 2 blocks of 4, 2 blocks of 8 and a very rare block of 20. In addition, there are approximately 90 mint singles and at least a like number of used examples, with the current Scot catalog value of the mint items only in excess of $25,000! Numerous Nile Post listed varieties are noted as well; a wonderful study from the foremost student of the Second Issues, inspection invited, generally Fine to Very Fine.

574 /o   Egypt, Magnificent and Enormous Stock to 1957. Assembled over decades by Feltus, all carefully arranged by Scott numbers packed into a massive Elbe Stockbook. It begins with a small section of first issues from 1-3 on, with incredible coverage from the 1867 second issue on, with just a mint sampling showing Scott 8 (30), 9 (7), 11, 14, outstanding "a" number perf varieties like 25b (16), 43-49, probably a dozen sets, and good runs from there, with numerous sets of 50-59, 61-74, crown overprint types, outstanding early commemorative sets from 105-07 on in quantities, plus control number blocks, semi-postals, airs, dues, watermark varieties, British Forces issues, officials, Occupations and much, much more. A fantastic and beautifully assembled, well-annotated mounted collection composed of 4 nice covers and 90 adhesives, beginning with Cairo and suburbs, then by town with coverage from Benha through Zifta and Mitg. Everything is noted by Smith postmark types and includes an 1871 type III-2.5 Mansura cover, an 1869 Tanta I-2.5 cover to Cairo, an 1871 Zagasik to Mansura type II-2.5 cover and an 1871 Zefta to Samanud type III-2.5 cover. The stamps include a wide range of listed types by town, including cash types, postal service cancels, several earliest known usage and more. Aside from Cairo, the towns represented include Benha, Birket El Sab, Damanhour, Damiata, Desuk, Galiub, Kafre Dawar, Kafer Zayat, Mahallet Rok, Mansura, Michalla, Minet El Gam, Minuf (with 2 seal cancels), Rosetta, Scibin El Anater, Scibin El Com, Tanta, Teh El Baroud, Tel El Kibir, Tookh, Zagasik, Zifta and Mitg.
