ROMANIA
Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
5812 OG   EARLY ROMANIA MINT HOARD nearly all from 1906/19, and heavily concentrated in Prince Carol 1 issues of 1906 (#176-85 and #186-195). Never Hinged but after several decades of storage, the curling glassines need some care. However, nothing appears to be struck so probably 2/3rd are OK as NH and perhaps a third has some light gum disturbance. The NH sell at 2-3x the catalog values quoted, as Scott only quotes hinged prices. Highlights include (with quantities): #176-82 (about 20 sets), 176(1800), 177(400), 178(400), 179(600), 180(500), 181(500), 181a(700), 182(1300), 183(1100), 184(390), 185(500), 186(1650), 188(1300), 189(1100), 190(350), 192(300), 193(400), 194(600), 195(325), 213(500), 215(1800), 216 disturbed gum (700+), 218(100), 222(400), 241-2(100), 245(2300), 246(300), 247(700), J50-51(500), RAJ10(200), 3NARA4(150).
