,Three SAFE DUAL albums basically complete France from mid 1960s onwards through to the late 1980s, some earlier issues seen, all perf mint never hinged. Very attractive including booklet panes, as well as commeratives and  ,definitives and &lsquo, back of the book&rsquo,.
A fascinating collection housed in two albums, mint and used with many 100s of stamps, all one of a kind, although occasional duplication on 19th century classics. The 'peace and commerce' issues types would benefit from the use of a magnifying glass to confirm the different types listed. Similarly with the 20th century, the collector has put question marks to identify further types on the sowers and subsequent definitives. Comprehensive thereafter although no specific highlights over $100 noted, nevertheless a good foundation with the distinct possibility of discoveries, for the early issues, pre 1920.
A wonderful collection of 100s repaired, reprinted and genuine 19th century issues, housed on vintage quadrille album pages, as assembled many decades ago. The collection has plenty of interesting material, starting with classic imperfs inc. 20cts black Ceres, through to the Napoleons inc. four of the 1fr and a perf 20cts blue tete-beche pair 'used', leading on to peace and commerce types inc. various Prussian blues good-looking but we presume to be all forgeries. There are also the early Colonies issues including 1872/77 key value 4cts Napoleon and Ceres heads with seven examples from French offices abroad in blue, Saigon, etc. Almost equally impressive range of imperf peace and commerce types 1877/79 including 'used' pairs from New Caledonia, St. Pierre Miquelon, Libreville, Gabon, as well as postage dues with lots of 5fr and again fancy and colored cancels, etc. There is also a challenging range of more than 70 Alsace-Lorraine issues different burelage inc. mint multiples to investigate, although partially remaindered many years ago. This has great potential here for the specialist, collector or dealer. The collection gets better on each inspection , viewing highly recommended.
,Collection of hundreds of stamps mint and used, the better part of the value being in Offices in China. This section includes 1901 'Chine' o/ps inc. 40cts red on straw used (#28), 75cts violet on orange mint and used (#31), 1904/05 2fr used (#55), useful Canton inc. 5fr lilac used (#46), Hoi-Hao with the 1906 10fr orange brown on green mint, signed (#48), Pakhoi inc. 1908 10fr purple and black mint, signed (#51), Tchongking 1903/04 5fr lilac mint, signed twice (#16), also interesting Annam/Tonkin and Cochin China. Then there is excellent material on stockpages including 1902 'Chine' surcharges complete mint with an attractive pair of the 5fr (#18/33, Scott retail $400+), the 1922 postage dues complete used on piece (#J37/J40, Scott retail $270), as well as some high value multiples in scarce never hinged condition with the Mong-Tseu 1906 10fr orange brown on green mint never hinged block of four (#32, Scott retail $500 as hinged singles) and the Indo-China 1896 5fr in mint never hinged strip of 5 (#21, Scott retail $550 as hinged singles)- seldom seen, a stunning strip. Also present are imperf peace and commerce issues for the general colonies mint and used, Dedeagh, Port-Lagos, Vathy, etc, plus Offices in Crete with the 8pi on 2fr violet used (#19), then interesting Castelloriso o/ps with the 1920 'OF' series complete without certification (#33/38, Scott retail $2,100), etc. The Zanzibar is another good area with 1896/1900 surcharges complete to the 50 annas on 5fr lilac including all the extra types on the 1/2a on 5cts, 1a on 10cts and 5a on 50cts, a colorful registered cover, signed, with 8a franking to Germany made up from four different issues, then three of the 1897 2 1/2a + 25cts on 1/2a on 5cts green on greenish (#29), all used with two on piece, showing distinctly different types in the figures of the surcharge, with two signed, followed by French Africa with a good range of Benin from o/ps onwards, Port-Said to 5fr mint (#15), Moheli complete with peace and commerce to 5fr mint (#1/22), etc, etc. A great lot.
