BRITISH HONDURAS
Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
4644 ogO   BRITISH HONDURAS - AN IN DEPTH ACCUMULATION, FROM YEARS OF COLLECTIONING, STRONG IN CLASSICS,

An extraordinary accumulation with particular emphasis mint and used in QV including the o/ps, as well as a good range of 20th century. Somewhat chaotically presented, yet clearly with a huge catalog potential here, starting with #1 , onwards with at least half a dozen copies (or more) of which 4 are unused, also #2 mint, a scarce stamp through to the 1/- Scott #3, on to the second series of 1872, through to #7, including another scarce stamp Scott #5 unused, the further series of the late 1870s/1880s Scott #8 - #17 etc - well over 50 penny values to the shilling, an excellent , first page. This leads on to the o/p issues, again with many good items such as #24, 8 examples, unused #26, various bisects , on piece as far as we can see virtually all correct inc #26c, leading through to top values with well over 100 o/ps here through to 1891 to high values with some almost imperceptibly hinged. , The specialist will delight sorting these out as there will definitely will be huge opportunity for varieties to be discovered - this will really have to be viewed carefully in order to be appreciated, there is simply so much here. Then the regular QV defin series of 1891/1898 with literally100s of examples here, a treasure trove for varieties, leading on to 20th century EDVII with mint to $2 and another $2 and $5 probably fiscally used. A similar pattern unfolds with KGV with again with mint values to $2 through to KGVI, silver wedding, QEII first definitive series (x3), and much more of the modern era commems and defins, through to postage dues. Completely uncataloged, lots like this are hardly ever available on the market today. The vendor&rsquo,s intention was to always put this into collection format, well written up. If and when that is eventually done, it will double or treble our estimate in market value. Condition occasionally mixed as to be expected, although there is much superb used and even never hinged. A somewhat chaotic presentation but that is half of the fun!  ,Viewing a must.
