Vintage collection of more than 350 19th and early 20th century cut-squares housed on old-time Scott album pages, with condition generally far better than normally encountered, including many superb. Highlights include 1864/65 12cts, 18cts, 24cts, 30cts and 40cts all unused (#U69/73), 1870s with 10cts brown on amber unused x2 (#U92), 12cts plum used with blue cancel (#U93) and 30cts black (#U102), 1874/76 inc. 2cts brown on manila unused (#W126), 2cts vermilion on blue unused (#U146), 30cts black on oriental buff and on blue unused (#U207/U208) and 2x 90cts shades unused. Then useful 1883/84 2cts Washingtons, 1883/86 4cts Jacksons appearing complete unused with condition excellent as usual for this collection, similarly with the range of 1887/94s with values to 90cts, the 1893 Columbians complete, 1899s virtually complete, etc. Turn of the Century also useful with lots of surcharges, through to officials from the 19th cent. onwards including postal service 1877 complete unused (#UO14/UO17) and a good range of Plimpton printing War Department issues. We project a ,strong catalog value, ,and likely ,more ,than expected ,as many of the issues that are difficult to identify we have taken as the cheapest types. We recommend a careful inspection.
