794 og 29b image#29b, 1901 "3 cents" on 10c Blue and brown, triple surcharge, precisely centered mint single, beautifully fresh bright colors, o.g., lightly hinged, extremely fine; this has to be the most undervalued surcharge rarity of this country as this example is believed to be the only known example in existence, a couple of other surcharge rarities of this country are valued considerably higher such as the 1893 12c on 16c Orange brown and blue, double surcharge (Scott #23d; $15,750.00; S.G. #16b; £15,000), of which two examples are recorded, are valued at multiples of this unique issue, perhaps the infrequency of this rarity coming to market accounts for the discrepancy, but certainly this should be the making of an eye-popping realization; 1995 David Brandon certificate (S.G.#37b; £3,250+).
