WORLDWIDE MULTI-GENERATIONAL 19TH CENTURY COLLECTION
Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
671 ogO   imageWorldwide impressive and valuable multi-generational 19th century collection offered intact as received and comprised of thousands of mint and used items mounted in two large old German albums, the collection is absolutely replete with not only better sets and singles, but a surprising number of rarities as well, the highlights of which would be far too numerous to list in an auction description, therefore we have uploaded 419 images of the collection to http://issuu.com/spinkandson/docs/sale141_lot_671 for viewing, however as an encouragement for prospective bidder to take the time to view the collection online we should tell you that Canada includes a set of Jubilees, France includes tete-beche rarities, Switzerland includes the Cantonals and United States is quite worthwhile, in addition some better 20th century has been added such a Austria WIPA sheet, France 1941 Liner Pasteur without surcharge signed Brun, and others, naturally the condition is mixed as one would expect for a 19th century collection and some fakes and forgeries are noted, however there are also a great many fine-very fine to be found throughout, and the total catalog value is likely in the seven figures area; the largest worldwide collection we have had the pleasure to offer intact; many stamps signed by noted experts and 63 certificates accompany the collection.
