Lot No: 5227

image Austria - Switzerland - Liechtenstein - Saar, Mint & Used Collection, Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Well, this collection covers all the German-speaking countries of Europe, that is, with the exception of Germany! But wait, don't go. There are more than enough goodies here to satisfy the collector of this area. All collections are hinged on Minkus pages, and Austria is a massive one consisting of mint and used until the mid-60's, and from then on, a near complete run of mint until 2000. You will also find some of the better mint semi-postals along with a good selection of Bosnia & Herzegovina. The Swiss collection doesn't have much past the 60's, but it too is quite strong in semi-postals both mint and used. The real strength of this collection is in Liechtenstein. It too ends in the 60's, but there are many better sets to be had, such as #74-80 & C9-C13. Despite no Germany, there are a number of German areas to speak of. There are decent collections of Bohemia & Moravia, Saar, the German States of Bavaria and Württemberg, and the plebiscites of Allenstein, Danzig, Marienwerder, Memel and Upper Silesia. Definitely worth a look., F.-V.F. Shipping charges apply - weight 3.4 lbs.
