AUSTRALIAN: 1968 ANARE PPC 'Thala Dan at Lewis Is' (with penguins) airmail to Hong Kong (!) with AAT 2c Penguin & 4c Ice Floes x2 tied by 'ANARE MACQUARIE IS' cds, the lengthy social message headed "En route to Macquarie Is" states "...incessant blare of the fog horn Jap fishing boats all we'd have hit...We're in the Nella Dan". A rare non-philatelic postcard usage to a most unusual destination from Antarctica. The rate had been 1/- which converted to 10c.
AUSTRALIAN: 1987 Antarctic Scenes (Third Issue) stampsize colour photographic essays of the five designs all denominated with the issued values endorsed below "2c 10c 20c 36c 60c", affixed to thin greenish card (230x170mm), a couple of tiny blemishes.

Unlisted by Gibbons but listed by Gibbs as #8c. Peter Holcombe Opinion (1991) states "Traces of the top of the 'd'" and "Gibbs lists a variety 'd' Omitted - SG 57f - but all examples I have seen have a minute trace of the 'd' as on this copy [sic]".
