image SWITZERLAND MINT AND USED ACCUMULATION, includes thousands of mint and used singles and some multiples, but mostly used, sorted onto 20+ stock pages, quantities generally in the 5-25 range with some up to 100+, overall mixed condition and faults are to be expected, values up to about $10, there is some B.O.B. and a nice showing of early material, this lot has been unpicked for varieties and cancels so there should be some surprises here, certainly a huge amount of total catalog value, a great lot to treasure hunt in, (ENV 400-500) (Image)

WORLDWIDE
Sale No: 130
Lot No: 359
Symbol:
Cat No: Collection

image EXTENSIVE WORLDWIDE COLLECTION TO 1965, includes tens of thousand mostly different mint and used singles and sets, hinged in eight blue Scott International albums, the collection runs to about 1965, the first two albums (which is where most of the value is) runs to 1940 with the rest of the albums split up to 1965, virtually every country has some stamps with the major countries usually being well represented, most of the countries have a blank page after the printed pages which contains any number of duplicates - many of which are better, the overall condition is mixed and there are faults to be expected especially in the early issues but the collection becomes much cleaner as the years roll on, all the mint is hinged, we noticed some items up to about $250 with a few dozen higher and plenty of items with values in the $25-100 range, the collector had a detailed inventory of this collection but the values appear to be maybe ten years old and hence the actual catalog value is likely to be more than what we have listed, some of the major countries are and again the catalog values are old: Australia($1,430), Austria($1,245), Belgium($1,500), Canada($3,120), France($2,270), Germany and Area($4,900), Great Britain($4,400), Italy and Area($2,200), Netherlands($1,000), New Zealand($900), Portugal($900), Russia($1,675), Spain($1,000), Switzerland($1,200), Thailand($1,675), the condition of the albums is very nice with many of the "fuller" pages having glassine interleaving, this is a very, very nice collection and certainly one of the better Blue International collections we have offered in quite some time, the quality, scope and value here make this offering a very good opportunity to jump into a worldwide collection, we have included a number of scans of the early pages from many of the major countries but there is still plenty of value to be had in the other volumes, viewing will be a distinct advantage for the serious bidder (Image)
