ITALY (2) Italian postal cards w/ cachets & signatures; the cachets are similar to Philippines Type 2 as shown in the 5th ed. of AAMC (page 394) w/ airplane and text "Via Pinedo's Flight Round the World;" one is in magenta, the other in green, and lack the additional Philippines text or date; these are possibly test strikes, one has "1925" overprinted in black to read "1927"; one signed by the famous pilot Francesco de Pinedo; both signed by d'Annunzio, likely Ugo who was a technical advisor for the flight, rather than Gabriele who did write a preface to Pinedo's book; light foxing on one card, F-VF (Image)
