image KARL LEWIS HANDPAINTED COVER COLLECTION OF 52 DIFFERENT, a most amazing collection of these scarce and extremely popular handpainted covers, virtually all are Japanese First Day covers and many have multiple frankings and several have stamps on the backs too, most are numerated with Karl Lewis' reference number or letter on the back, contained on black stock pages, all are addressed to Clas. J.J. Rupp in Allentown Pa., Rupp was a postmaster and close personal friend to Mr. Lewis and hence was able to get a significant number of covers of his works, the overall quality of this collection is simply pristine with each cover being in the "day it was born" quality, we have offered a few Lewis covers over the years and generally they trade in the $200-400 each range but there are several designs which are very scarce and they often fetch in the $1,000+ range, we noticed a few rare covers which sold at auction a couple years ago that brought $1,500 to $2,000 each and those designs are in the collection being offered here, we have scanned every page of this impressive collection so the bidders will be able to experience this rare group of covers in detail, those images are available on our web site, (ENV 7,500-10,000) (Image)

image KARL LEWIS HANDPAINTED COVER COLLECTION OF 45 VARIOUS, a nice collection of these scarce and extremely popular handpainted covers, virtually all are Japanese First Day covers and many have multiple frankings and several have stamps on the backs too, most are numerated with Karl Lewis' reference number or letter on the back, contained on black stock pages, all are addressed to Clas. J.J. Rupp in Allentown Pa., Rupp was a postmaster and close personal friend to Mr. Lewis and hence was able to get a significant number of covers of his works, the overall quality of this collection is simply pristine with each cover being in the "day it was born" quality, we have offered a few Lewis covers over the years and generally they trade in the $200-400 each range but there are several designs which are very scarce and they often fetch in the $1,000+ range, all the covers being offered here are duplicates of the other collection listed nearby and there are a few duplicates as part of the 45, we have scanned every page of this impressive collection so the bidders will be able to experience this rare group of covers in detail, those images are available on our web site, (ENV 4,000-4,500) (Image)

image WORLDWIDE MIXTURE, includes thousands of mint and used singles, sets, multiples, S/S', covers and lots of other stuff, packed into a large white box, loose, on stock cards, stock pages, 102 cards, album pages, retail cards, the overall condition is mixed, good variety but there is duplication to be expected, it appears that a collector put all the non-junk, better than face, odds and ends into a single spot with the attituded this material would eventually be organized, priced and than sold on a individual basis, we saw hundreds of items with values in the $10-50 range and some higher, many different countries here, mostly postage but there is some amount of B.O.B. material here too, the total catalog value is surely in the many thousands of dollars range, there is a lot of work to be done with this one but also some tremendous retail possibilities here, viewing will be a huge advantage to the serious bidder of this huge pile of potential profit, (ENV 750-1,000) (Image)
