1945, "UKRAJINSJKYJ SCHLACH" (Der Ukrainische Weg) previously "KRAKAUER NACHRICHTEN", Newspaper no. 1 of 30 March 1945 (four pages), issued in Vienna, with an editorial referring to the establishment of the Ukrainian Liberation Committee. From summer of 1944 onwards, German authorities supported Ukrainian nationalists, at a time when the "Reichskommissariat Ukraine" and the Galicia district was already back in Soviet hands. There were quite a considerable number of Ukrainians serving in the Wehrmacht resp. in SS Divisions; the instalment of an Ukrainian Liberations Committee was allowed. This newspaper was apparently printed on the machines of the "Krakauer Nachrichten" which had been transported to Vienna. Nevertheless it was a very short-living newspaper which ceased to exist after a few days. This lot is "Gebotslos". The Minimum Bid is 20 €, it will be sold at the HIGHEST BID (not one bidding step above the second highest bid).
