image POSTAL HISTORY: 1941 (Dec 18) airmail to Sydney, Australia with Ataturk 2½k, 7½k, 12½k x4 & 15k pair tied 'CANKAYA/ANKARA' cds plus Postal Tax stamp on reverse, Egypt 'CENSORS[HIP DEPT] machine cancel and '1591' cachet in violet on back, a few blemishes. Carried on BOAC/QANTAS Horseshoe Route flight NE153 during which Flying Boat Cooee force-landed at Haifa Palestine due to bad weather on 7.1.1942.
