1915, commercial cover from "CHARKOW 2.9.15" (adhesive with faults) addressed to Paris with red Russian censor mark alongside. Somewhere on the way the item must have been seized by the Germans, attached bilingual label "Aus Anlaß des Krieges in Deutschland zurückgehalten" (due to war hold in Germany), endorsed "Frankreich" and finally delivered in 1920 with postmark "PARIS 14.IV.1920" on reverse. Attractive illustration on reverse of cover (advertising envelope for Pathe Grammaphone and Cinema products), some inevitable postal wear as to be expected. (Image)
