Hauptmann im Generalquartiermeisterstab in Bukarest" with arrival mark "K.K.FELDPOSTAMT No.I 22/6".
Duke Alphons Wimpffen was a career officer, serving in the General Staff from 1854-1857, and died 1866 at the age of 38 due to a severe wounding which he had received in a battle in the Prusso-Austrian War. (Image)

A good, clean and very neat collection, of which we also took some web photos. ÷ 1945/2005, umfangreiche postfrische Sammlung in sechs blauen Schaubek-Vordruckalben (inkl. Schutzkassetten). Die gesuchten teuren Ausgaben und Kleinbogen sind zwar nicht vorhanden, dafür aber viel mittleres Material.
