image RAILWAY STATION POSTMARKS 1866-1928: A box file containing a collection of late 19th/early 20thC. cards & envs. mounted on written-up pages inc. an 1866 EL cancelled with a partial "1" in a lozenge of dots for St. Petersburg station; an 1866 E cancelled with a partial "3" in a lozenge of dots for Nicolas Station in Moscow; a 1914 registered advertising env. from Tzaritsino (later Stalingrad and now Volgograd) to Vienna cancelled with a double oval of Vokzal; a 1926 inland express env. cancelled with double circle cds's of October Station in Moscow; a 1927 "State Bank of the U.S.S.R. /Transcaucasian Regional Branch/Tiflis" env. registered to London; plus others in fine condition with fine markings, as well as PPCs depicting railway stations or scenes of the railways, and a copy of "Russian Postmarks" by Kiryushkin & Robinson.
