Envelope used from Santa Clara to Aix en Provence in France bearing 2c turquoise and 6c blue (Yvert 137+141) in combination with tax stamp 2c violet-brown surcharged 'Impuesto de Guerra' (Yv. 3) all tied "SAN CLARA/7 JUL 98" double ring d/s in blue, with arrival dater on reverse. The cover with a central vert. fold but still fine. A very rare use of the War Tax surcharge stamp on commercial mail to France. (Image)
