image June 11, 1938 first flight cover for the short lived semi official Areovias Nacionales Hydroplane flight of 1938. Sanabria #S1-S7 plus an unlisted surcharged 5/10 cent on S1, tied, for an airmail flight across San Juan and on to New York paying the ten cent airmail rate with US stamps of that era. Only a few of each of these semi official stamps were used on flights and covers and very few were carried aboard any of the Kofresi flights that lasted from April 28, through September 27, 1938. Typical tropical toning, soiling, bumps, etc.. Probably flown and delivered. Few of this type exist. (Image)
