1864: 10 c. red on slightly yellowish paper, imperforate with large margins all round, used on 1866 cover from Batavia to Nantes, France tied by framed FRANCO handstamp in black. "Batavia" despatch cds (May 31) at left and thence carried via Singapore and Suez to Marseille with fair "PAYS ETR. V. SUEZ / AMB." in red and charged '10' décimes due to pay. Reverse with Nantes arrival cds (July 10). File fold well away from the adhesive, a fine stamp and extremely rare used on cover to France. Signed Georges Lamy. Cert. Van der Vlist (2005). Opened for display to show Weltevreden transit cds (March 26) and two strikes of "Modane a Paris" cds (April 27) in red. Manuscript notation '50' in red ink and charged due with Postage Due 1881/92 5 c. black (two pairs) and single 30 c. black (Maury TT14+T18) tied by Romans cds's (April 28). Obvious file fold but unusual and an 1891 underpaid cover with 1870/88 15 c. orange-brown pair used from Semarang cancelled by '2' numeral with 'T' marking and taxed with pair of Postage Due 10 c. black on arrival in Paris.
