1915-16 simplified set ½d to £1 plus KGV ½d to 5d, all CTO with 'RABAUL/5JL16' cds, it's likely that the 5/- is Second Wmk and the £1 is First Wmk, all neatly tacked to part of an archival page, Cat £1000+. Fresh as a daisy.

1915-16 Overprints on Kangaroos Third Wmk 2/- brown with the Watermark Inverted SG 97w type a on registered Blatter cover to Switzerland with German-pattern label & very fine '[crown]/PASSED CENSOR/27NOV1916/RABAUL' h/s.
POSTAL HISTORY: 1916 (Aug 22) cover with 'THE TREASURY/RABAUL' cachet in violet at L/L, to Melbourne with 5d type c tied by Rabaul cds, German registration label, Melbourne arrival b/s, slightly truncated & opened-out.
POSTMARKS: 'EITAPE' cds on 1917 cover with KGV ½d & 1d pairs, German-pattern R label; and 1920 with six values to 4d tied by 'EITAPE' cds in violet, mss "Registered No..."; the latter with a minor stain clear of the stamps.
