Small tear along top edge. Also, 28 Mar. 1838 disinfected (slits) EL from Poona to Gibraltar, having on reverse large part "PURIFE AU LAZARET/MALTE" h.s. image DISINFECTED COVER & UNCOMMON POSTAGE DUE MARKS: 28 Oct. 1893 env from Messina to Malta, franked 20c and having on reverse, large part oval "[disinfected]/Lazaretto Malta" cachet dated 30 Oct. Appears to have small disinfection slits at left of env. Also, 5 Mar. 1904 PPC from Valetta to Hull franked ½d green with bold "T" mark, "CENTIMES/5" in circle and "1d/f.b" mark on arrival. Also, 21 May 1905 PPC from Valetta to Dorking similarly franked but with "T" enclosed in circle and the "5" applied by manuscript. (3 items) (Image)

Feb. 1930 to USA, Jul. 1930 to Rangoon, Aug 1930 to Ceylon, pair of 27 Feb. 1931 covers to Tanganyika & South Africa (noting first 'official' Malta acceptance for London to Mwanza flights was 3 Jul. 1931). Also 3 covers to Australia incl. 6 Apr. 1931 Valetta to NSW endorsed "By 1st experimental flight England-Australia", 11 Jun. 1931 first flight Vatican to Malta (this underpaid, attracting ½d p. due stamp), 18 Jun.1931 cover addressed to Czechoslovakia with cachets "BY AIR/TO GENOA ONLY" and "DOPO LA/PARTENZA". We note a pair of 18 Jul. 1931 covers to Tripoli with cachet "1st Air Mail" and 19 Jun 1931 "1st Air Mail" addressed to Germany, franked 4½d and with "BY AIR/TO GENOA ONLY" cachet.
