EAST AFRICA: 1914 PPC ('The Court Fool, Busoga') to Sydney with KGV 6c tied by a very fine large-part strike of the very rare 'KAMULI/OC13/14/UGANDA' skeleton cds with inverted month & day slugs, transits of 'JINJA/UGANDA', 'MOMBASA/EAP' & 'ADEN', Sydney machine arrival of 20JA-1915, creased at left. [Kamuli (1) PO c. mid-1913; renamed Mbulamuti 19.6.1915. Ted Proud's illustration is noted as a reconstruction of 'KUMULI' (an error ?). Very high Proud rating of 100pts for on-stamp & unrecorded on-cover. Kumuli is some 60km N of Jinja, in the Busoga sub-region. The writer was a mission teacher who states "...Happy New Year from Darkest Africa the brightest & greenest spot in the world..."]
KENYA UGANDA & TANGANYIKA: 1935 Postage Dues 5c to 1/- SG D7-12 set with hinge remainders, another set punctured 'SPECIMEN', lightly to very lightly mounted, also KGVI 3/- SG 147ac with hinge remainder, Cat £365. [NB: the horseshoe 'SPECIMEN' perfin was too wide for the Postage Dues so the odd resultant perf fault is normal for this set]
