1873-1892 Collection of 20 used stamps of early issues, starting with 1873 2s. blue (cancelled Reykjavik; signed Calves) up to 1892 100a., with a lot of good stamps like complete first issue, and various datestamps (not only Reykjavik). Some stamps (especially from first issues) showing faults like short or missing perfs, thins or a crease, few may be cancelled-to-order, but most stamps are good to fine. (Image)

1940, BLOCKED INCOMING MAIL: Germany, 3 Pf, 2 x 5 Pf and 12 Pf Hindenburg, mixed franking on commercial window-envelope from Memmingen, 17.2.40, addressed to Reykjavik in Iceland, german censor-tape on reverse. The envelope has been withheld by german censor authorities for more than two months, handstamp "21.4. zurück / z.Zt. keine Beförderungsmöglichkeit" applied on the frontside and the cover was finally returned to sender on April 22nd 1940.
