1885 (July 20) G.B. 1d Reply postcard uprated 1d, posted from Belfast to "British or American Commercial Agent, Christianshaab, Greenland", the similarly franked reply half (no longer attached) posted back from Copenhagen with the British stamps cancelled upon arrival in Belfast (Aug 2). The card asks about the whereabouts of a British subject who may have sailed to Greenland on a whaler; the return half is endorsed "No American or other states council is found anywhere in Greenland. Try write direct to The Chief Manager, The Greenland Commercial Office, Copenhagen". Also unused c.1930 picture postcards (2) and other 1941-85 covers and cards. (21).
