image Gibraltar: Postal History: 1837 (Dec. 12) entire letter to Perth, bearing the scarce undated "GIBRALTAR/F" mark in use in Falmouth until 1843 on the reverse, partly overstruck by 1838 (Jan. 12) arrival, the front with boxed "1/2" (d) coach levy, the letter was written on H.M.S. "Talavera" in the port of Cartagena, Spain, it was only in the final years of usage that the mark was undated. Ex John A. Gonzalez Grand Prix collection. Photo. (Image1)
