1875 '2d.' Surcharge on 'V.R.' Overprints in Roman Letters on 'Twelve/Cents' on 6d rose SG 27, rounded corner at L/R, large-part o.g., Cat £3000. Alex Rendon Certificate (1996).
1876-77 Script 'VR' Underprints 1d deep blue imperforate plate proof on Laid Paper upper-left corner block of 4 with Pronounced Double Print, the second impression misplaced 1mm to the right & ½mm down, the third unit with the Major Void Corner as SG 31b, large-part o.g. the lower pair being unmounted. Visually stunning! Ex Gerald Patterson: sold for $419.
1881-89 Queen Victoria 1/- brown (deepening shades towards the base) complete imperforate sheet of 16 (4x4) of the Fournier Forgery, a couple of minor faults.
1881-89 Queen Victoria 5/- dull red & black SG 69 upper-left corner block of 8 (4x2), the fourth unit with the recently listed Red Arc above 'FIJI' SG 69a, well centred, full unmounted o.g., Cat £1000++ (as mounted singles). Superb! An exceptional positional block, and the equal largest recorded unused multiple of the 5/-. Ex Gerald Patterson: sold for $1340. [David Alford at page 82 records only two mint blocks of 8: it is unclear if this block is one of them]
