image 1856, Extremly rare EARLIEST MUTE 5-RING CANCEL (stummer 5-Ring Stempel) on entire letter
-A complete folded entire letter (sent from Kiel) bearing a 1854, 4 Skilling brown centrally and clear tied by mute 5-ring cancel with small middle-dot and alongside cds "DAMPSK:POST-SPED:No.6 13.11.1856" sent to Kjobenhavn. Fresh stamp with wide margins all around, allso envelope in fresh and superb condition, cert. Möller BBP: "This type mute cancellation is extremly rare on cover, only a few are recorded. This is the earliest recorded usage of the cancel in type STU IV." (Image)
