1895: CHILE COVER SENT DURING THE OCCUPATION OF PERU TO SENEGAL. Rouletted 5c. ultramarine, 8 stamps, two pairs and a block of four on registered cover to Rufisque, SENEGAL, cancelled by cds "Tacna 7 May 95 " alongside red oval " Registered 8 May " and black TACNA registration label 503. Reverse transit cds Arica ( Chile ), Marseille and Bordeaux with Rufisque arrival on 19 June 1895. Vertical fold through the middle and far left without affecting the stamps. REGISTERED COVERS FROM OCCUPIED PERU TO SUCH EXOTIC DESTINATIONS ARE VERY RARE. (Image)
