Cachet at upper left "ROUND THE WORLD FLIGHT/of the "WINNIE MAE"/Pilot/Wiley Post/Navigator/Harold Gatty" and autographed by Wiley Post and Harold Gatty. Due to bad weather, the flight began June 23, 1931. The cover has transit ccl at Berlin, Germany June 24; violet hand stamps from Russia and Siberia and an arrival ccl at Mineola, NY July 1, 1931. World Record 1st Airplane to fly around the world with a time of 8 days, 15 hours and 51 minutes. AAMC cat. #1141, cv $650 (Image)

image Hand Drawn Pen and Ink Cachets, on 1931 "Boyfriend Covers", all drawn by Ms. Sarah Ann Stevenson of Houston, TX, dated Nov. 14, Nov. 25, and Dec. 18 to her boyfriend at Oklahoma University in Norman, OK. Excellent and very imaginative artwork, including an elegantly dressed woman reading in a stuffed armchair, a football player running with the ball and a lady waving an "O.U." banner at a football game with lots of interesting info on back of her coat (my favorite is "Its/Two Lip/Time".
