image CONGO: Attractively presented collection with 1886 Leopold set mint (the 5fr is Perf 14) & used (ex 25c, the 5fr is Perf 15), 1887-94 Leopold set mint (ex 5fr grey; the 5fr violet has issues) & used to 10fr - the 5fr violet has a small thin - plus the unissued 50fr (defective), 1892 Colis Postaux 5fr grey, 1894 Etat Independant Pictorials used, 1898 3fr50c & 10fr x2, 1909 'CONGO BELGE' Handstamped & Overprinted sets, 1918 Red Cross Fund mint set, 1921 Surcharges including 15c in Error on 'CONGO/BELGE' 15c (Belgian Specialised Catalogue 87B; unlisted by Gibbons & Scott) superb mint with W Balasse guarantee handstamp, 1923-27 Pictorials set, 1928 Stanley set, 1930 Natives Protection Fund mint, 1938 Tourism Congress M/S mint, 1939 Zoological Gardens used, 1941 Albert Memorial mint used & imperf, 1944 Red Cross Opts mint, issues to 1960 complete including 1957 Postage Due blocks of 4 (the 2fr is two pairs), a few problems in the earlier issues but generally fine to very fine throughout, STC £4500+.
