Reverse with JASSY (Jan 16) and WIEN (Jan 20) transit cds. A most interesting item from this elusive office.rnNote: Between May 1867 and March 1869, six post offices, among them Foc?ani were administered by the Hungarian ministry of trade. From 1867 the first Hungarian stamp issue came into use in these offices. In Foc?ani, however prepaid covers are not existing at all, only a few pieces with adhesives are known to exist. Also unpaid entires like the present one are of great rarity due to small amount of mail from this office.rnReference: An entire letter from this Rothschild correspondence is displayed and described in Nagy - The Hungarian Post in the Danube Principalities 1867 - 1869 on page 112.
