image 1864 'Rivadavia' 15c. blue, sharp impression, horizontal strip of four used on registered letter from SAN LUIS to Mendoza in 1870, tied by doubly framed "CERTIFICADO" h/s and by "SAN LUIS/25/MAY/1870" Maltese Cross cds, with Mendoza '6 JUN 1870' MC arrival cds on the reverse. The roughly perforated stamps have been separated by scissors with cut perfs at left and foot but still fresh and fine. The letter with parts separated or missing inside but still with all important parts. This cover was mentioned by Kneitschel (74) as a remarkable piece and is shown on page 242. A VERY RARE STRIP OF FOUR USED ON REGISTERED COVER. ÷ 1864 'Rivadavia' 15 c. azul. impesión nítida, tira de cuatro sellos utilizado en carta certificada de SAN LUIS a MENDOZA, con matasello CRUZ DE MALTA SAN LUIS (25/MAY/1870) y rectangular CERTIFICADO, ambos en negro, y matasello de llegada MENDOZA (6/JUN/1870) en el reverso.
