Argentina 1932 'Damaged by Sea water' airmail cover from Buenos Aires to Geislingen/Steig, Germany franked 1931 Air 18c (plus further stamp(s) were lost) tied by Buenos Aires '26 FEB 32' c.d.s., and on the reverse with large postal label "Postamt Aachen, den 10. März 1932 / Während der Überfahrt durch Meerwasser durchnäßt. Empfänger gfl. verständigen. In Vertretung Pütz." + "Das ist der abgestürtzte Brief" in m/s as well as '12.3.32' arrival c.d.s. The label means 'Post Office Aachen, 10th March 1932 / Soaked through sea water during the crossing. Notify recipient if necessary. On behalf of Puetz." and "This is the crashed cover". Argentina - post marks 1868 postmark "H" in diamond of bars of Humaitá, used on 1868 issued stamp Manuel Belgrano 10c. green, fine. This handstamp was introduced on October 12th, 1868 at the new post office of Humaitá during the Paraguayan (Triple Alliance) War, and was used till the P.O. was hand-over to the Paraguayan Post in November 1869.
