1875 ARGENTINA-GREAT BRITAIN MIXED FRANKING: Cover from Buenos Aires to Genoa via London, franked Argentina 1868 'Rivadavia' 5c. tied by double circle dater "BUENOS AIRES "O.M."/AGO/1/1875" in combination with Great Britain 1869 2d. blue (two singles from Plate 14) and 1874 1s. green from the scarce Plate 10 prepaying the British rate of 1s4d. and tied on arrival in England by numeral in oval of bars, with red "LONDON/PAID/30 AU 75" c.d.s. in red alongside, London transit dater in red as well as "GENOVA/2/SET/75" arrival c.d.s. in black on the reverse. The cover was carried on the maidon voyage of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co. vessel "Guadiana". The British 1s. wing-marginal stamp was used with a corner defect at lower left and the Argentinian stamp with few stained perf tips, otherwise fine. A SCARCE AND ATTRACTIVE MIXED FRANKING, possible between January 29, 1873 when the British P.O. closed, and April 1, 1878 when Argentina joined the UPU. (Image)

1902 Postal check 5c. + 50c. with control number "000002" in blue, used and cancelled by Buenos Aires datestamp with part date in m/s, with minor imperfections (light folds/creases) but still good. A rare postal check used - only few used specimen are known. ÷ 1902 Libertad Sentada BONO Postal 5c. + 50c. usado. (Los bonos de la Libertad Sentada fueron emitidos entre 1902-04 por la Compañia Sud Americana de Billetes de Buenos Aires en papel con Filigrana y fueron de tamano de 79x212 mm considerando el cupón adjunto que se cortaba cuando era utilizado. Es la emisión más baja de la serie i se conocen pocas pezos este ejemplar presenta la cancelación circular de Buenos Aires fecha a pluma y la numeración de emisión 000002.
