AUSTRALIAN: 1947-2000s extensive collection in two cartons with much written up on pages & in three springback albums plus a quantity of additional material with some duplication, better earlier items including HMAS 'Labuan', Operation Sinbad, relief parties etc, 100+ signed items including many with multiple signatures, combination frankings, airmails, inwards mail, paquebot covers & other unusual services also numerous registered items, PPCs, FDCs including some by Arthur Bergen & other types we have not previously seen, also many cachets that are new to us, on and on. Also a quantity of ephemera with maps, contemporary photographs, articles, hardbound 'Postcards of Antarctic Expeditions' by Wharton, original 'Macquarie Magazine 1971' produced on Macquarie Island & signed on the inside back cover by the expeditioners. A marvellous record of the philatelic history of the various Bases. Largely Ex Rene Lehmann and Margaret Noack. Weighs 25kg.
