WORLD WAR I - THE STORY OF AN AUSTRALIAN SOLDIER IN THE MALTA HOSPITAL, ETC.; Jan.-Sept. 1915 group of PPCs all from/about the same soldier (Lieut. L.G. Blackmore) in the "A.I.F."; from his voyage to Aden, through life in the Army in Egypt (many "BRITISH CAMP.MAADI" datestamps), to his being wounded and ending up in a Military Hospital in Malta; all are addressed to New South Wales or to New Zealand. The first two are stampless from Aden (one with rare Aden Handstruck "OAS" mark), there are several real photo PC's of life in Camp in Egypt, some are stampless with "1ST AUST. BDE FIELD P.O" c.d.s.'s; or from Hospital in Malta, real photo of patients in the Malta Hospital (presumably including Blackmore with an arm in a sling) and a final sad env. addressed to him from Australia with boxed "DECEASED" and manuscript "Killed in action, 27/8/1916".
