1914 Stampless filing card (circular hole at base, produced as such prior to use), used as a postcard to Scotland with superb violet oval "N.Z MILITARY POST OFFICE / TROOPSHIP No. 8 / DEC 1 1914 / EXPEDITIONARY FORCE" applied on "Star of India"; stampless Ceylon postcard with similar oval handstamp of Troopship No. 12 in violet, dated Nov 25 1914, used on the "Waimena"; and a postcard bearing Egypt 4m tied by this violet oval datestamp with "Troopship No. 12" excised, strangely dated "SAT 9 1915", recorded used by the N.Z Mounted Brigade F.P.O at Zeitoun for just 15 days (5-19 Jan, 1915).
