Saxonia, "Ivernia" & "Royal Edward". 1914-15 Covers and cards comprising cover from Netherlands Indies to a P.O.W in Gibraltar and redirected to Southend with scarce red boxed "NOT ON H.M.T SAXONIA", unfortunately reduced at right with the stamp torn out; stampless picture postcard of the "Saxonia" sent to Germany with circular Post Free P.C cachet; card to a P.O.W on the "Saxonia", the G.B stamp removed by the censor; stampless postcard from Germany to the "Royal Edward" and P.O.W. envelopes from the "Saxonia", "Royal Edward" or "Ivernia" all with the circular Post Free P.C cachet; also picture postcards of the ships (8), an interesting group. Ivernia. 1914-15 Covers and cards comprising stampless Feldpost cover from Germany to Frith Hill with very scarce violet "NOT ON H.M.T "IVERNIA""; other stampless Feldpost covers from Germany or Belgium to the "Ivernia"; stampless P.O.W envelopes from the ship, to G.B with oval "Prisoners of War Information Bureau" cachet and manuscript "PC", or to Germany (2, one to a soldier with various unknown cachets and "Zuruck"). Also picture postcards of the ship (6, three posted on board whilst a troopship), 1915 Malta card posted by a soldier on the ship with violet "Censored / for O.C", and a picture postcard of German prisoners at Southend on Sea.
