Monopoly 1940s UK edition by John Waddington, including board, complete set of property cards, spinner (used in lieu of dice during WW2), tokens are wartime cardboard cutout versions affixed to the top of pieces of wood - top hat, iron, boot, race car, battleship & rocking horse (the latter was retired in 1942), chance & community chest cards, money, wooden houses & hotels, rules & short game rules. A fascinating early set, appears almost complete, in fine condition for it's age. ['Monopoly' was derived from an earlier game c alled 'The Landlord's Game'.
