Cat No: 35
1854-55 Woodblocks Imperf 2/- dull bluish green/pale yellow SG 35, margins just clear to large, ironed-out vertical crease & thinned, unused, Cat £6500. A presentable example of this rare stamp.
1854-56 Queen-on-Throne Lithographs Campbell & Fergusson Printings from Stones that were not Overused 2d purple SG 36a horizontal pair [AE - BF] from the U/L corner of the sheet, margins good to large with complete outer framelines, unused, Cat £1300+. A very scarce multiple, of which only several are recorded by Kellow & Shawley. [This pair was sold at a London auction as SG 20, which it clearly is not. John Shawley has confirmed for us that it is a Campbell & Fergusson Printing from Stone A. He also cautioned against relying on the Gibbons' comment about wear of the background behind the throne]
1857 Experimental Separations Serrated 18-19 Woodblock 6d orange SG 60, remarkably well centred with complete serrations on all sides, tiny central thin spot & a bit faded, unused, Cat £4750. A rare stamp.
