Cancelled and tied to the cover by the red circular datestamp ST. LOUIS MO./NOV. 30, with straight-line unframed red PAID and manuscript ´10´. Probably the earliest date known for this issue. Cert. ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1866 (Aug 25). Cover from Glasgow to Worcester, Mass, USA endorsed at top ´per Scotia via Cork and New York´franked by GB 6d mauve pl.5 pair tied by Glasgow duplexes. Red ´N.York Br.Pkt Paid´ cds on front. On arrival the cover was forwarded back to New York with USA 3c adhesive tied by Worcester target handstamp in black. Appealing and unusual cover.
