Limited Edition Collection of (200),Event covers on American History, "The Philatelic History of the United States" published by Westport Collectors Society commemorating major U.S. historical events from the founding of Saint Augustine, Florida to the completion of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Covers mounted on special information pages in (4) brown leatherette albums with Gilt titles. Excellent used condition with no binder "dings" or scratches and about 1/2 dozen pages with minor spots on edge. Very clean for 40+ years. Original cost was $700. Great snapshot of America's history. Covers are addressed and pristine. (Image)

American War for Independence,,Collection of (88) Event Covers, published by Westport Collectors Society as "America's Bicentennial Covers" and providing information on USA History from 1773 to 1784 in some detail. Envelopes have special Art Craft cachets and stamps related to the event described and postmarked on the event date 200 years later. Mounted in (4) red binders with gilt stamped title. Binders have very minor edge wear and need a slight cleaning. Covers are addressed and near pristine with some having very slight toning. Remarkably assembled document on the Revolutionary War History. Appears to be short the last two covers of a (90) cover set and has (12) pertinent foreign cover: GB (5), France (4), with Canada, Denmark and Spain one each (Image)
