image RW1, 1934 FEDERAL 1ST OF NATION DUCK STAMP PRINT, sba (Jay N.) Ding Darling (deceased), with mint stamp and artist signed stamp, nfai, edition of about 300, Mallards; housed in a nice cherry wood frame with light blue over blue double matting and with a gold medallion. The mint stamp is XF, unsure of gum condition. The artist signed stamp, signed with a fancy "Ding" is F-VF OG with 2007 APEX certificate for stamp and autograph, plus a 2007 letter from Bob Dumaine verifying that the photocopy of this stamp that was sent to him appeared to be authentic. image RW10, 1943 FEDERAL DUCK PRINT, 2ND EDITION, sba Walter E. Bohl (deceased), w/ms, nfai, Wood Ducks, beautifully mounted in faux dark wood frame w/black edges and a cream colored mat. This print was presented by Walter Bohl to his dentist and attached to the back of the frame are (2) letters hand-written and signed by Walter. One is an informational 8"x6" page describing the production of the print, paper used, location the study specimens (ducks) were killed (Stuttgart, Ark.), etc., dated 1987. The second is a letter, also dated May 1987, telling his friend that items were enclosed to add to his frame, regarding the print and Walter. The letter also describes cabin near Scottsdale, AZ (where he and wife were at the time), snow falling, beautiful view of the lake, etc. Also incl are a brochure from the Fine Arts Commission/City of Scottsdale entitled "An Appreciation of Walter Bohl"; a brochure entitled "The Heard Museum/presents/An Exhibition of Paintings and Etchings/by/Walter Bohl" dated 1951; a Linn's Stamp News 2002 newspaper clipping touting the RW10 stamp as a good investment; and a couple pages from the Sam Houston Philatelics 1987 stamp price list regarding duck stamps.
