United States Express Co., Leipsic, Ohio, 1859, black on green "(44) Forwarded by the…" label (Mosher unlisted) on a legal-size United States Express Co. envelope, dated June 13, 1859, from Leipsic to Salem, Ohio; includes 10 letters or documents, dated between 1844 and 1863 having to do with taxes or money owed to the recipient, one Sheldon Parker; other than those dated after June 1859, there's no way to tell which were originally carried in the envelope and which were simply stored in it; five intact "U.S. Exp. Co./Leipsic, O." red wax seals on the reverse; the cover has some edge tears, the documents are in various states of wear (one small document quartered along folds), generally Fine. (Image)
