image 1869-1952, mint and used collector's balance, a few hundred better stamps with modest duplication, all neatly arranged on black stock sheets.
Mint never hinged without faults includes a few Columbians, Jamestown complete and other early commemoratives, a part set of the 1922 issue to the $2, Huguenot-Walloon x 3, Washington Bicentennial, 2 sets of the Presidential issue plus one of the Prexy coils, Famous Americans, later definitives, scattered early airmail and a few other back-of-the-book. Total catalog value for this group comes to $5601.
Mint hinged without faults includes #179, 4¢, 10¢ and 30¢ Columbians, 50¢ Trans-Miss., 10¢ Louisiana Purchase, $5 #524, a few 1922 definitives to the $2, and a small group of early airmails etc. Total catalog value for this group comes to $2412.
Mint regummed or no gum includes #114, 158 (x4), 238, 326 and J3. Total catalog value for this group comes to $620.
Used includes only a handful of items, including #73 (x2), 113 (x2), 50¢ Trans-Miss. and O8. Total catalog value for this group comes to $726.
There is a small group of faulty also (missing perfs, thins, reperfed, light creases etc). Total catalog value for this group comes to $407 - however this group was not counted in the total catalog value for the lot.
Centering averages overwhelmingly F.-V.F., with a few better and a few worse. 14 stamps have certs, some graded. Where a stamp has a graded cert, we have marked the grade on the stock sheets.
This is definitely an excellent lot for the dealer, with many very salable stamps and sets in the $30 to $600 catalog value range. All are imaged on the web - have a look.
